No Challenge Today

Sorry everyone. I forgot what today even was I’m so out of it. I may not be able to post for a few challenges. Or family is going through what looks like the beginning stages of some sort of dementia for my mother. We’re in the middle of deciding the proper course of action. It’s pure hell I wish on on one. Wish her the best please.

Sending you strength and encouragement and thanks for the conduit to have a voice. Be kind to yourself and don’t expect too much of yourself during the journey. ❤

  9. Shane,

Like all of the people commenting here, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My mother in law suffered a stroke on Christmas 2006. The whirlwind that ensued was mind blowing – but we survived. Reach out to others for rest and comfort. Remember to give yourself rest too – both physically and mentally.

Please let us know if we can do anything.

If you need any help, just holler.

  11. Shane, it’s never easy, but it’s harder at the holidays. Hopefully, if it’s really “early stages” there’s effective treatment that can help buy you all some good time to adjust and figure out how to take care of her and the rest of the family without too much trauma.
