  1. dawncherie34 says:

It was the day of the Wearing of the Green and all the Little People had on their green garb as they sat around the Blarney stone eating their Corn Beef and potato, and drinking their Green Beer. As Luck would have it, a Leprechaun appeared with a giant Pot of Gold. The Leprechaun told the Little People a Limerick and if they could explain it, they were entitled to take a handful of gold coins from the Pot of Gold.

  2. Anklebuster says:

Frozen lakes and rattlesnakes and bits of herring bone
Along with raw potato, I’ll mix in pot of gold.
And while it cooks and simmers, go kiss the Blarney Stone.
Then come on back and flatter, tell me that I’m not old.

Cold green beer and hot corned beef, I’ll serve you with a smile.
As you eat and take your sips, I’ll sing of little people:

The ballad beat up the limerick
It used the leprechaun’s crooked stick.
    You might think it mean
    Wearing of the green
But the luck of the Irish is thick.
