As he gazed at the awful posture reflected in his full-length mirror, Bob decided that the current leader in the eternal power struggle between fat and muscle was unclear. To his wife’s disappointment, he took out his frustrations on a box of chocolate doughnuts.

Emma was springing from the kitchen chair, ready to whip Bob into shape. “Honey, you have been hiding inside those sweat shirts and baggy pants long enough! For your information, wifely duties do not include being smothered under 257 pounds of sweaty blubber!

“Until I see some definition in your abs, you’d best not have any expectations of doing anything in bed other than sleeping and sit-ups!”

Little Bunny Foo Foo’s frustrations mounted. The field mice were hiding especially well this morning. He’d fallen behind his head bopping expectations early and he needed to complete his mission before the good fairy reappeared. By definition , he knew his actions were ‘wrong’ in her eyes and their little power struggle between good and ‘almost good’ seemed unclear to him. Looking other a few more rocks only yielded disappointment until he spotted a small twitching nose close by. Springing into action, Little Bunny Foo Foo scooped up the field mouse and bopped its head with a resounding pop! Poof! The good fairy appeared within seconds, ready to dispense with her duties of turning him into a goon. Foo Foo lay stunned for a second. As a goon, he didn’t feel any less compelled to bop the heads of field mice. His information on being a goon were sketchy at best. He righted himself and took stock of the situation, just as he noticed another little nose twitching in the distance. Little Goony Foo Foo hopped through the forest, scooped up the field mouse and bopped him on the head!

The frustrations associated with the opposite sex hiding their agendas and expectations creates a dating power struggle. Many a young male’s definition of a quality relationship is a disappointment to many a young female. After a human male is springing into action his mind fogged with hormones and the imbibing of fermented liquids his sight often becomes unclear. Sometimes the lines between and definitions of duties and honor become blurred, hazy.

This is information that should be in every Girl Scout handbook.
